UHCL at Pearland and The Astros Foundation are pleased to present Reading Around the Bases, a literacy event for children K-5, on Friday, July 28, from 2-5 p.m. at UHCL at Pearland. This is a free event that's open to the public, so be sure to bring your friends and family. Activities include a story time session with Pearland ISD Superintendent Berger, free popcorn and frozen treats (while supplies last), and a free book for children in grades K-5. Legislative Updates

 

Last month, Dr. Richard Walker sent an email to UHCL faculty and staff regarding legislative updates and upcoming developments on campus. Updates include a new DEI bill; faculty tenure; test-optional admission policy; and the new Master of Science in Nursing Education and Leadership program.

Art Gallery Exhibition

 

Texas native Tim Kerr’s art will be on display in the University of Houston- Clear Lake Art Gallery from July 17 through August 25. Kerr is a well-traveled “self-expressionist” who has displayed his art all over the U.S. and internationally. You can learn more about the exhibition by clicking the button below.

Book Announcement

We're so pleased to announce that UHCL's very own, Dr. Dorothea C. Lerman, has published a new book to help learners prepare for social demands in the workplace.

 

Dr. Lerman is a professor of psychology and the director of the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities here at UHCL. She has published more than 80 research articles and chapters. This is her first book.
